Miley, Mariah & Brad Make Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People List

The Dalai Lama, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, Muqtada al-Sadr and Miley Cyrus all have at least one thing in common. They are all on the Time magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people.

Of course, the 15-year-old pop star wasn’t in the same “Leaders and Revolutionaries” category as those other three. Nor was she in the “Scientists and Thinkers” or the “Builders and Titans” categories. Time lists Cyrus along with music stars Mariah Carey and Bruce Springsteen, jazz great Herbie Hancock, playwright Tom Stoppard, “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels and 15 others in the “Artists and Entertainers” group. George Clooney is there, too.

All three major presidential candidates and President Bush are in the leaders category.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen are among the “Scientists and Thinkers.”

Oprah Winfrey and Lance Armstrong are among the “Heroes and Pioneers,” along with a joint entry for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
