Miranda Kerr’s Wellness Secret! (Healthy Hollywood)

Supermodel Miranda Kerr is a self-confessed wellness junkie.

So, it makes sense she’s on to “the” hottest oil of the moment.

“I personally take four tablespoons of coconut oil per day, either on my salads, in my cooking or in my cups of green tea. I will not go a day without coconut oil,” she recently stated.

Move over olive oil, coconut oil is on well on its way to being 2014’s trendiest wellness product. Health-conscious celebs, like Kerr, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are already on to this powerhouse food product.

“Coconut oil possesses a wide variety of health benefits due to its fiber and nutritional contents. It has earned the moniker of the “healthiest oil in the world,” reveal the folks at Carrington Farms Coconut Oils to Healthy Hollywood.

Coconut oil is a heart-healthy food that can help your body in a variety of way.

“Coconut oil is made up of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). These fatty acids do not have a negative on cholesterol. They are known to lower the risk of heart disease. The liver and gall bladder do not need to digest and emulsify MCFA, resulting in instant energy, increased metabolic rate and subsequently more heat production and increased circulation,” explain the Carrington Farms folks.

Plus, many wellness experts believe coconut oil is a healthier alternative to other cooking oils. It is perfect for sautéing, baking and cooking and doesn’t add any funky flavor. As a fat replacer, for every teaspoon of butter, use 1 teaspoon of coconut oil; for 1 tablespoon of oil use 1 tablespoon for coconut.

But, cooking is just one of many health benefits. Get ready for coconut oil to be your new must-have product.

Carrington Farms shares some of the other health benefits.
