‘Modern Family’s’ Eric Stonestreet Talks Dating ‘The One’

On ABC’s “Modern Family,” Eric Stonestreet plays one half of the show’s gay power couple, but off the small screen the 38-year-old actor says might be dating the woman he wants to marry.

“It’s going great. [I’ve] been talking to a girl I met in December in New York. She’s a dancer on Broadway and we’ve been dating. I guess I have a girlfriend?!” the actor, who plays Cam on the hit series, told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show” on Wednesday.

“I’m off the market! Ladies had me and then they lost me,” he joked, saying he’s making the best out of his a long distance relationship with his unidentified squeeze.

Eric might be in the midst of a new relationship, but he told Billy that he’s ready to take it to the next level – travel and meeting the parents.

“We’re gonna go on a road trip in June,” he continued. “We’re heading to Kansas to see my parents and for her to meet my folks.”

Does the “Modern Family” star think he’s found a possible future wife?

“She absolutely could be the one,” he explained. “I have a deal with my parents, that I only bring the girls that I’m serious about into their world. I don’t’ want them to have to experience the ups and downs of me dating, they already have to experience the ups and down of being an actor! They know that when I bring a girl home it’s serious.”

In addition to appearing on “Modern Family,” Eric was recently cast opposite Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz in the movie “Bad Teacher.”
