‘Modern Family’s’ Sofia Vergara: Luis Miguel Is ‘Going To Be OK’

Following reports that Spanish-language singer Luis Miguel was hospitalized with a severe bacterial infection, “Modern Family’s” Sofia Vergara said her friend is “going to be OK.”

Access Hollywood caught up with Sofia at the 21st annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in Century City, Calif., on Saturday, where she gave us an update on the beloved singer.

“He’s OK, everybody gets sick,” she told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts backstage at the GLAAD awards.

“He’s going to be OK,” she reiterated. “He’s young and strong.”

On Friday a rep for the singer’s music label, Warner Latin Music, told Access, “I have no information to share,” when asked about reports that Luis was in serious condition. The singer’s manager and agent would not comment when contacted by Access.
