Monica Potter On ‘Parenthood’ Finale: ‘Buy Stock In Kleenex!’

“Parenthood” will wrap up an emotional six seasons this Thursday night on NBC, and Monica Potter said there’s a good stock option to invest in prior to the finale.

“Buy stock in Kleenex,” she told Access Hollywood at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour.

The show, which has followed the lives of the Braverman family, wrapped shooting its final season late last year.

“It’s weird not coming back from Christmas break and seeing him and everybody else and it sucks,” she said, as she spoke alongside co-star Peter Krause, who plays her TV husband Adam Braverman.

With six seasons of ups and downs, heart-wrenching storylines (like Kristina’s cancer battle), babies, lots of love and plenty of family dinners, Peter said it was a good time to finally say goodbye.

“It was a great six seasons. I mean, I’m gonna miss everybody,” he said.

“Storytelling-wise, I think that we told our stories,” he added.

But there is one episode of stories left to tell, and it appears Lauren Graham’s character, Sarah Braverman, will be walking down the aisle, escorted by her ailing father Zeek Braverman (Craig T. Nelson).

Thinking about the finale, Peter said it will deliver the emotions “Parenthood” is known for.

“They’ll be sad, but it’s also hopeful, which is the nature of the show,” he said.

“Parenthood” was renewed by NBC last year for an abbreviated final season, which concludes Thursday at 10/9c on NBC.
