Nancy O’Dell Co-Hosting ‘Ladies First: Bravo At The Kentucky Derby’

The Kentucky Derby is getting a woman’s touch.

The annual horse race will be accompanied this year by a one-hour Bravo special entitled “Ladies First: Bravo at the Kentucky Derby,” which will premiere on Friday, May 1 at 5 PM.

The show will be co-hosted by Access Hollywood’s own Nancy O’Dell, NBC’s Bob Coastas and “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel, and will give viewers a history on the fashion and festivities before and after the Kentucky Oaks race, an event for three-year-old thoroughbred fillies that falls the day before the Derby.

This year’s Oaks event, the 135th, will feature a day of events to raise money and awareness for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer organization. Additionally, the organization is working with the Derby’s Churchill Downs Racetrack on a number of special events that will be featured in “Ladies First,” including a First Lady of Fashion Contest, a Survivors Parade and a special Kentucky Oaks winner’s circle formed by breast cancer survivors to celebrate both the race’s winner and the victory of the survivors over breast cancer.

Churchill Downs also intends to donate at least $100,000 to the organization.
