Natasha Lyonne The Latest Star To Join ‘American Reunion’ Cast

Natasha Lyonne is the latest “American Pie” franchise star to sign on for the upcoming fourth installment, “American Reunion,” Access Hollywood has learned.

The 32-year-old actress will reprise her role as the wise-cracking Jessica in the popular comedy, which is currently in production.

Natasha joins fellow “American Pie” original cast members Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Mena Suvari and Chris Klein for the Universal Pictures project.

Additionally, Natasha will star alongside Willem Dafoe in the upcoming sci-fi drama, “The Last Day on Earth.”

The actress has endured a number of personal tribulations since her appearance in 2001’s “American Pie 2.”

In 2002, Natasha pleaded guilty to driving to driving under the influence of alcohol after she drove a rented car onto a sidewalk in Miami Beach, Flor. in August 2001.

The former “Blade Trinity” star was also charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass and harassment in December 2004 after she allegedly entered her female neighbor’s apartment and threatened to “sexually molest” the woman’s dog.

A judge dismissed the charges in 2006 after Natasha completed an inpatient drug program at the Caron Foundation.

“American Pie,” which hit theaters in 1999, pulled in a whopping $231.4 million domestically and was followed by 2001’s “American Pie 2” and 2003’s “American Wedding.” The studio also made multiple direct-to-DVD movies based on the raunchy comedy series.

“American Reunion” is slated for theatrical release on April 6, 2012.
