Naya Rivera ‘Pushing’ For ‘Glee’ Scenes With ‘Real Housewives’ Star NeNe Leakes

Naya Rivera is cheering on “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes, who joins “Glee” next year as Coach Roz.

“She’s great. She’s hysterical,” Naya, who plays McKinley High School Cheerio Santana on “Glee,” told Access Hollywood on Tuesday during a break from filming a new commercial for Proactiv.

On Monday night, Chris Colfer (Kurt) and Lea Michele (Rachel) announced on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” that NeNe was joining the cast for a guest spot. Chris and Lea admitted they were big “Housewives” fans and Naya told Access on Tuesday, she is too.

“I definitely do [watch ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’] religiously, so I was stoked that she was coming. Got to meet her,” Naya said of NeNe’s appearance, before dropping a hint that more NeNe could be in store. “And, I think she’s coming back!”

Naya is hoping if NeNe does return – continuing what will be a faceoff with Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester — she wants some scenes with the reality star.

“No scenes with her [yet]. I’ve been pushing for them,” she said.

Also headed to “Glee” in the new year, now that the guest star embargo seems to be over, is Gloria Estefan in the role of Santana’s mother.

“I’m very excited about that,” Naya said of the Grammy-winner’s upcoming cameo. “I have met her. She came to set earlier on in the year and brought her kids and I got to meet her then and I thought that was cool enough and for her to be playing my mom, it’s like, ‘Yes!’”
