Neil Patrick Harris Plays Host To Elton John’s Son’s First Play Date

Neil Patrick Harris’ 5-month-old twins have found a young new friend from across the pond – Elton John and David Furnish’s 2-month-old son, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.

“Elton and David came to our house for Zachary’s first play date a couple weeks back,” Neil told Access at the LA premiere of “Beastly” on Thursday. “They’re great guys.”

In addition to the obvious cool factor of having a legendary music icon in his home, the “How I Met Your Mother” star said watching Elton lovingly interact with his newly arrived bundle of joy was inspirational.

“They’re super great parents,” Neil told Access. “They’re so fiercely involved in their son’s life and it’s really kind of great to watch them interact with him.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, NPH and his partner, David Burtka, became the proud parents of twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott on October12, 2010, via surrogate.

Elton and his husband, David Furnish, welcomed baby Zachary – also born with the help of a surrogate — on Christmas Day 2010.
