New Celeb PSAs Encourage Compassion For Animals

Last Chance For Animals (LCA) and celebrity photographer Christopher Ameruoso have teamed up to create some compelling new public service announcements to educate and encourage the public to take a stand for animals. Jillian Michaels, Holly Madison, Mini-Me Verne Troyer, Pamela Anderson and Access Hollywood’s own Maria Menounos are among the many celebrities participating in the new print PSA campaign to shine a light on abuse facing animals worldwide.

The creatively produced print PSAs, photographed with well known Hollywood celebrities, aim to raise awareness of the Bureau of Land Management’s roundup of America’s wild horses, illegal dog fighting and pet theft, in addition to promoting the adoption of shelter animals, and encouraging the public to stop wearing fur. “We all need to take a stand and speak for the animals who cannot speak for themselves,” Ameruoso states.

“If a picture says a thousand words then our hope is each PSA will encourage individuals to take a stand,” says Chris DeRose, founder of LCA. “The public needs to know about the cruelty and abuse animals face so we can make positive changes on behalf of animals.”

All print PSAs will be available for download in high-resolution JPEG format at no cost on LCA’s Web site for print or Web advertising. New print PSAs will be created each month to further educate the public and will be seen in advertising spaces, including billboards, donated to LCA.

LCA is a non-profit animal rights organization that exposes cruelty and abuse nationwide. Since 1984 their investigations on vivisection, pet theft, fur farms and circuses have been used to develop public education and outreach campaigns, and to draft legislation leading to lasting changes for the animals. From exposing companion animal meat being sold for human consumption and the mass slaughter of deer by the National Parks Services at Gettysburg, to the first ever conviction of USDA licensed B dealers. LCA is committed to bringing these issues to the forefront and effecting change.
