New Girl: Damon Wayans Jr. Explains Coach’s Return & Ensuing Strip Club Hijinks

Damon Wayans Jr. will soon be back on “New Girl” as Coach and AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman caught up with the actor to find out how the Fox series will explain his return.

“Coach is one of those characters who, when he gets into a relationship, he just kind of disappears,” Damon told Laura during a visit to the “New Girl” set. “So, he breaks up with a girl and he’s like, ‘Hey guys…’ He’s been lovey-dovied.”

After the demise of Coach’s relationship, he arrives back at the loft and the boys – Nick, Coach, Schmidt and Winston – soon find themselves at a strip club.

“He’s been booed up and now he’s not booed up! [He was] in Chicago, now he’s come to hang out with his boys,” Damon said.

According to Coach, the best way to get over his ex-girlfriend is to watch scantily-clad ladies work a pole.

“I’m getting over my relationship, and the best way to get over your relationship is to see a girl’s butt cheeks clap in your face,” he said, adding, “That’s a fact!”

Catch Damon’s return to “New Girl” on Tuesday, November 5 at 9/8c on Fox.
