‘New Moon’ Director Chris Weitz: ‘Eclipse’ ‘Going To Be Very Steamy’

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” director Chris Weitz is giving his steamy stamp of approval to the third film in the vampire franchise after reading the script to “Eclipse.”

“I’m looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say,” Chris told People, referring to a tent scene with Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner). “That’s going to be very steamy.”

Chris said he is also looking forward to seeing Edward’s vampire parents, Esme Cullen (Elizabeth Reaser) and Dr. Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli), get their time in the action spotlight.

“I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people’s heads off,” he said with a laugh. “Knowing them, and how kind of kooky and delightful they are, I’m going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed.”

“The Twilight Saga: ‘Eclipse” opens in theaters on June 30.
