PASADENA, Calif. (November 15, 2006) — Taye Diggs says he’s gearing up for a long run on his new action show, “Day Break,” which replaces “Lost” for the next three months.
Diggs says he can only hope viewers will obsess about the smallest details and discuss things endlessly in Internet chat rooms. Diggs says he hopes they tell each other to watch when “the dog drools and then the drool affects something else.”
Not that a dog is going to drool in the show…or maybe it will.
Bahar Soomekh has landed a job in the medium that helped her learn English. Soomekh will have a recurring role in “Day Break.”
Soomekh is from Iran --she played the Persian shopkeeper’s daughter in “Crash.”
Soomekh says TV and movies have played a big part in her life. She learned English from watching “Three’s Company,” “Mel’s Diner” and “MTV.”She says she’s managed to avoid being typecast even though she played a lot of Persian parts when she first started.
“Day Break” premieres tonight on ABC.
