Nice Mayor Welcomes Pitt-Jolie Twins

Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, the twin children born to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on Saturday were given an official welcome into the world by Mayor Christian Estrosi of Nice, France yesterday, Access Hollywood has learned.

Mayor Estrosi personally signed the birth certificates of Knox and Vivienne on the steps of the hospital in order to save Brad a paparazzi-filled trip to Nice’s city hall.

Baby Knox entered the world first at 6:27 PM Saturday evening, local time, followed one minute later by his sister, Vivienne.

On the certificates, Brad’s initials “WBP,” which stand for his given name — William Brad Pitt, can be seen.

Mayor Estrosi told reporters that the people of Nice were proud to have Angelina and Brad in their city for the birth of the twins, People reported.

“On behalf of the inhabitants of Nice, I congratulate the happy parents, the most famous couple of the world who have chosen our city for this happy event.” Mayor Estrosi said. “I also congratulate the four brothers and sister of the newborns who are real ‘Nicois’ (‘citizens of Nice’).”
