Nick Jonas Charmingly Avoids Kate Hudson Talk On ‘Ellen’

Nick Jonas is still getting used to the single life.

The “Jealous” singer has enjoyed a productive
year, co-starring on both DirecTV’s “Kingdom” and Fox horror comedy
“Scream Queens,” in addition to releasing a chart-topping solo album.

However, the 23-year-old said on Thursday’s
“Ellen” that staying busy hasn’t necessarily made it easier to bounce
back from his June breakup with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.

“Ish, yeah,” Nick smiled, when host Ellen
DeGeneres commented on how well he seems to be coping. “It’s an
adjustment.”

The former Disney star went on to say that facing all his
new endeavors by himself may be an initial challenge, but the journey has
proven itself rewarding so far.

“I was with my ex for two years, and then when my life dramatically changed, you know, and I started touring and doing all these projects, it was an adjustment kind of doing it alone,” he added. “But it’s good.”

Ellen, seizing an opportunity, couldn’t help but point out
that Nick may have already found a new partner in crime.

“You don’t seem to be alone,” the comedienne
teased, referencing to Nick’s rumored romance with Kate Hudson. “There’s
someone who ends up being in the same city as you all the time,
coincidentally.”

Nick and the “Almost Famous” actress first sparked
hook-up chatter when they were reportedly spotted together at Disney World in
September. Both have yet to address the supposed relationship directly, but
Nick grinned and took a moment to adjust his jacket sleeve before offering a
smooth response to Ellen’s inquiry.

“I’m never alone,” Nick told the host. “I have you.”
