Nicole Kidman Blown Away By Oprah & Upcoming ‘Australia’

Nicole Kidman has been interviewed thousands of times throughout her career, but the “Australia” star is still blown away when it comes time to sitting down with one interviewer – Oprah Winfrey.

“I’m a big fan, so it’s a huge thing for me to be able to go on ‘Oprah,’” Nicole told Access Hollywood Monday night at the 2008 Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York City. “I’ve been on her show many times now, but she’s still such a force of nature.”

Nicole was accompanied to the Glamour event where she was honored by husband Keith Urban, who is prepping for the CMA awards tomorrow night, and their newborn, Sunday Rose, who was kept out of sight. In fact, Nicole plans to keep photos of her baby out of sight too, except “on that show,” Nicole said of Oprah’s daytime talk show.

“There’s a few things you do on ‘Oprah’ and that’s one of them — you show [her] the photos in your wallet,” Nicole laughed.

The Oscar-winner also revealed that her appearance on “Oprah” wasn’t the only thing knocking her off her feet lately — her new movie, “Australia,” co-starring Hugh Jackman, also blew the actress away — literally!

The cast was exposed to extreme weather conditions during filming, which caused Nicole to faint on set, but she wasn’t the only one to succumb to the heat.

“So did Hugh Jackman though,” she told Access of her fainting incident. “Both of us did, so it wasn’t just a female thing. The heat was so extreme- it was 120 degrees. You end up getting dehydrated. I only did it once. I learned my lesson.”
