Nicole Richie Spies On ‘Chuck’

A new femme fatale is coming to “Chuck.”

Nicole Richie has signed on to guest-star on an episode of the NBC series, which returns for a second season this fall, the network announced today.

The former “Simple Life” star will play the high school nemesis of Special Agent Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski), who re-encounters her old bully at her 10-year reunion — with Chuck (Zachary Levi) along for the ride.

“Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny,” said Josh Schwartz, the show’s executive producer. “This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”

Richie has shown off her acting talents in previous guest spots on shows such as “8 Simple Rules … for Dating My Teenage Daughter” and “American Dreams.”

In addition, the fashion favorite is launching a jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960, named after her daughter with rocker boyfriend Joel Madden. The line will launch this fall.
