Nicole Scherzinger is about to get a little "Dirty"!
The former Pussycat Doll and "X Factor" judge will join ABC's remake of the 1987 romantic drama "Dirty Dancing," Access Hollywood has learned.
According to Lionsgate, the studio behind the production for ABC, Nicole is taking on the role of dance instructor Penny alongside
previously announced stars Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes. Cynthia Rhodes portrayed the character in the original feature film.
A premiere date has yet to be announced for the three-hour musical event, also set to feature Debra Messing as Marjorie Houseman, mother to Abigail's heroine, Baby.
Newcomer Colt, best known from his appearance in Pink's music video for "Try," is filling the shoes Patrick Swayze made famous as Johnny Castle.
The production also includes Tony-winning "Hamilton" choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler and "Glee" music producers Adam Anders and Peer Astrom, while original "Dirty Dancing" screenwriter Eleanor Bergstein will serve as an executive producer.
This televised update won't be the first time Nicole's showed off her moves on ABC.
The songstress won Season 10 of the network's celebrity competition smash "Dancing with the Stars" in 2010, with partner Derek Hough.
