No More ‘90210’ For Tiffani Thiessen

With The CW’s “90210” spin-off set to premiere on Tuesday, former original series star Tiffani Thiessen says she’s among the cast members who won’t be coming back.

“I don’t think so, I mean I wish them all the luck, but I’m just so in a different place right now,” Thiessen told Us Weekly at the Nike + Human Race in L.A. on Sunday. “You know, it’s not that I don’t look back at that show with wonderful, amazing memories, but I’ve just gone in a different direction for me. But I think it’s wonderful.”

Even though Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Joe E. Tata have returned?

“I don’t think so!” she laughed. “I say that with a big smile! I don’t think so!”

Thiessen, who played bad girl Valerie Malone on the long-running show, thought that any possible fireworks between the two returning actresses were overblown.

“I think a lot of time has passed, you know,” she said. “I’m sure they had their talks between them, beforehand. I think it’s great for them. They look beautiful and I’m sure it will be great.”

Thiessen says she’s stayed close with fellow “90210” star Jason Priestley, who was also in attendance at the 10K run.

“I’m really close with him and his wife,” Thiessen told Us.

Though Jason previously told Access Hollywood that he would also not be returning to the show, he said that he’d be interested in coming back to direct.

”“They’re talking to my people about seeing if they can slot me in over there,” he told Access. “I directed more episodes of ‘90210’ than anybody. I directed 18 episodes.”
