Norman Reedus: It Gets ‘Bananas’ On ‘Walking Dead’

Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon got the support he needed to carry on in last week’s “The Walking Dead” episode, “Still,” from Emily Kinney’s Beth Greene.

“She’s kind of the light at the end of the tunnel for him right now,” Norman told Access Hollywood when we asked about Beth helping to put Daryl back together in “Still.”

“She’s sort of picking him up and carrying him through it, whether he knows it or not,” Norman added, as he hit the red carpet for Bryan Cranston’s “All The Way” opening night in New York City on Thursday evening.

Last week’s “TWD” episode focused on just two characters – Daryl and Beth – and Norman gave credit to Emily for helping him produce such emotional work.

“I got really lucky. Emily’s such a good actress,” he said. “Actually, all the actresses I’ve had one on one stuff on that show are so good, I can just sit back and watch them.”

But, while last Sunday was a quiet moment on the show, Norman said, “from here on out, it just goes bananas.”

And, when Access asked him whose storyline he is excited for people to see next, he referenced the actress who has played Carol since the start.

“Melissa McBride has something gnarly coming up,” he teased.

Norman was one of a host of celebs, including “Once Upon a Time’s” Jennifer Morrison, Colin O’Donoghue and Josh Dallas, who came out to see Bryan’s new play at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City. And before he went in, Norman explained what he loves about the “Breaking Bad” alum.

“He’s the king of dramatic television,” Norman said. “He’s the man, so I’m excited to see him.”

“The Waling Dead” airs Sunday night at 9/8c on AMC.
