Obama Makes Appearance On ‘The View’

President Barack Obama may have one of the toughest jobs in the world, but it seems he hasn’t lost any of his good humor.

A photo from his taped appearance on “The View” in New York City on Wednesday afternoon, showed the President looking visibly cheerful and relaxed as he sat alongside co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

President Obama’s visit to the daytime talk show – a first for a sitting U.S. President – also caused quite a stir among the show’s hosts.

“I was a legal secretary taking the bus 2 & from work – now I’m sitting next to President Obama about to interview him – wow Lord … Thank you,” Sherri Tweeted on Wednesday.

Joy also made observations via Twitter about the hustle and bustle that accompanied their important guest.

“I’m getting ready to interview President Obama. There’s so much security here at the View, you’d think Justin Bieber was back,” the comedian Tweeted.

Sherri and another of “The View’s” hosts made special arrangements to return to the show to interview the President.

Sherri Tweeted that she had taken leave from filming her new movie, “One For The Money,” which also stars Katherine Heigl, especially for the occasion.

“ThankU Lakeshore Entertainment & Katherine Heigl for letting me off 2B on The View when President comes! I wouldn’t miss 4 the world,” she posted on Twitter.

Barbara also made a special return to the show set for the first time since her open-heart surgery in May. She had not planned to return to the show until September.

Even though most of the show’s hosts were content with being able to meet and greet the head of state, the President’s appearance also brought an unexpected benefit.

“The President is here. Finally some good food in the Green Room,” Joy tweeted.

President Obama’s appearance on “The View’ will air on Thursday at 11 AM EST on ABC.
