‘Office’ Star Ellie Kemper Joins ‘21 Jumpstreet’ Cast

Kudos to Ellie Kemper – the actress has parlayed her “Office” desk job into a budding big screen career.

Kemper, who plays Dunder Mifflin secretary Erin on the NBC sitcom, has landed a role in the upcoming movie reboot of “21 Jumpstreet,” according to Variety.

In the film, starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as undercover cops posing as high school students, Kemper will play a chemistry teacher with the hots for Tatum’s faux student character, who soon learns he’s not really a high school boy.

The role comes on the heels of Kemper’s big screen breakout role as Becca in “Bridesmaids.” Among her other previous film credits was a small role in 2010’s “Get Him to the Greek,” which also starred Hill.

“21 Jumpstreet,” which also stars Ice Cube, Rob Riggle, Brie Larson and Dave Franco, is slated to hit theaters in March 2012.
