On The Road With The ‘Code’

With less than four days to go until “The Da Vinci Code” hits theaters worldwide, the cast is hitting da road and so is Access’ Tim Vincent.

The cast has already broken a world record and the movie’s not even out yet.

It’s one for the record books. Tom Hanks and the rest of the cast were onboard for the longest, nonstop international train ride in world history.

The cast left London on the Eurostar “Da Vinci” train for a seven hour and 25 minute trip .

And with speeds reaching 293 kilometers — or 180 miles — per hour, the rail quest took the stars on a sightseeing tour past Paris, Geneva — all the way to the festival.

“Taking the train and going from London to the south is unbelievable,” Jean Reno told us.

And along the way, the pressure mounted for director Ron Howard.

“The whole thing has been such a whirlwind,” director Ron Howard said. “I’m only now beginning to understand the intensity of that pressure as we go to the Cannes Film Festival. As Tom said, we were promised some attention before we got on the plane.”

And attention they got!

With “Mona Lisa” banners draped from the rafters and London fans and photogs lining the Waterloo boarding area, the “Da Vinci” cast, including producer Brian Grazer, author Dan Brown and Audrey Tatou, unveiled the train, which had undergone a complete “Mona Lisa” makeover itself.

“I’m furious!” laughed Paul Bettany, pointing to Mona. “They told me it was gonna be my face. I don’t know what she’s got to do with the whole movie.”
