Oprah Winfrey Reveals What She’d Ask Oscar Pistorius

The world is watching the Oscar Pistorius hearing unfold and an interview with the Olympic athlete – accused of killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp – would be huge get for any journalist, including Oprah Winfrey.

On Thursday night, the talk show great revealed to Access Hollywood what she might ask the headline-making athlete.

“Everybody keeps saying he’s a target interview,” she told Access Hollywood on Thursday at the 6th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards luncheon. “I don’t think his lawyers are going to let him talk right now, if you’ve got any lawyer with any sense.”

Oprah said she would first ask Pistorius a question that many people might have on their mind.

“I would ask him the same thing you [would ask] him. I’d say, ‘Come on,’” she told Access. “‘Come on Oscar. Come on, really?’ That’s the story.”

Pistorius was released on bail on Friday in Pretoria, South Africa, with a bail set 1,000,000 South African rand (approximately $112,800).
