Oscar Isaac Cast As Villain In ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

Fans finally know who will be playing mutant villain Apocalypse – the mysterious figure seen in the post credits sequence of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

AccessHollywood.com has confirmed that Oscar Isaac has been cast as the movie villain, also known as En Sabah Nur. In the “X-Men” comics, the character is often referred to as the first mutant.

The actor will join Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy (who are all expected to return) in the 1980’s-set Bryan Singer-directed movie.

The 35-year-old actor, who grabbed Hollywood’s attention with his lead role in “Inside Llewyn Davis,” will also appear in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
