Oscars 2013 Sound Editing Tie: Barbra Streisand Once Tied For An Oscar Too!

The teams from “Skyfall” and “Zero Dark Thirty” tied Sunday night in the Sound Editing category at the Oscars, but this isn’t the first time there has been a tie during Hollywood’s biggest night.

Most famously, Barbra Streisand and the late, great Katharine Hepburn tied for Best Actress at the Oscars in 1969.

Katherine won for her role in “The Lion in Winter,” while Barbra won for her part in “Funny Girl.”

Another tie happened in 1932. Fredric March of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” and Wallace Berry from “The Champ” both took home the trophy for Best Actor.

Ties have happened a handful of other times in Oscars’ history.
