Pal Shoots Down Britney Pregnancy Rumors

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (November 28, 2007) – Despite a report to the contrary, Britney Spears is not pregnant with her third child, according to her friend Sam Lufti.

In Touch magazine released a story early Wednesday, claiming the pop star was four weeks pregnant with music producer J.R. Rotem’s child.

However, hours later, Brit’s pal Sam sent a text message to Ryan Seacrest while he was doing his KIIS-FM morning show refuting the rumor.

“It’s B.S. Don’t know who made it up. J.R. doesn’t even know what’s up. It’s fake. Completely fake,” the text message read.

In addition, Sam issued a statement to People, telling the magazine Britney “laughed at it” when she heard the latest rumor, but said Brit likely wouldn’t be issuing any comment herself.

“If she were to give a statement about every lie, she’d be giving statements forever,” Lufti told People.

According to In Touch, on Nov. 14, Britney “confided to her friends in e-mails” that she was pregnant with Rotem’s child. Two days later, she e-mailed a copy of the ultrasound to her friends, InTouch claimed.

In Touch also claimed to have confirmation from Rotem.

“It’s true,” the magazine claims Rotem told them exclusively.

This isn’t the first time Britney and friends have used Seacrest to get their message across.

On Halloween, Seacrest got Brit, Sam and pal Alli Sims on the phone for a quick interview about her new CD, her Halloween plans and how she deals with the tabloids.

So how was Brit coping with the negative press surrounding her new album and her court battles?

“I try not to let it get to me,” she told Seacrest. “The tabloids. The magazines… you just try to keep doing what you’re doing. As long as you know what’s up, that’s all that really matters.”
