‘Paranormal Activity 2’ Scares Up ‘Saw VI’ Director

“Paranormal Activity 2” is reportedly one step closer to thrilling audiences once again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount has tapped “Saw VI” director Kevin Greutert and screenwriter Michael R. Perry to work on the sequel to the 2009 surprise hit, which pulled in $151 million in worldwide.

Details about the movie’s plot are being kept under wraps, as is the actual title.

“Paranormal Activity” producer Oren Peli, who is also producing the second movie, said the new team would keep the fun and fright going in the sequel.

“These guys get it, and the fans won’t be disappointed,” Peli told the entertainment trade mag.

“Paranormal Activity 2” is slated to hit theaters just before Halloween 2010.
