Parents Television Council Upset Over Miley’s Racy ‘Who Owns My Heart?’ Video

She’s already shown she can’t be “Tamed,” but Miley Cyrus is still a little too sexy – at least, according to the Parents Television Council.

In her new video for “Who Owns My Heart?,” which debuted last week, a half-dressed Miley is seen writhing on a bed and in the back of a limo before arriving to a club where she seems to be grinding on both guys and girls alike — much to the dismay of the TV watchdog group.

“While we understand the desire for a teenaged performer like Miley Cyrus to break free of the type-cast roles that made her a star, it is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one,” the Parents Television Council said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Monday.

“It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly,” the statement continued.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Miley was not immediately available for comment on the council’s statement.

In a new AccessHollywood.com poll, readers seemed to agree that the video was too sexy for the star, who turns 18 in November.

When asked if the new video was “too sexy,” 71 percent of the AH Nation said “Yes, she’s only 17.”

While she continues to push the envelope in her steamy videos, Miley recently posted a 10-minute video message on YouTube thanking her “true fans” for their support.

“I’m figuring out who I am… and that is how I relate to you guys – I’m just like y’all,” Miley said in the YouTube message. “That’s probably gonna be the next quote – ‘I’m just like y’all,’ and they’re going to call me a hillbilly, but I don’t care.”
