Celebrities
are sharing their shock and horror over multiple violent attacks across Paris
that left more than 100 dead on Friday.
According
to the Associated Press, police officials said explosions were heard at the
Stade de France, where a soccer match between
Germany and France was taking place. French President Francois Hollande was
reportedly inside the stadium watching the game, and was immediately evacuated
before holding an emergency meeting.
In addition, the AP reports that 11 people were fatally
shot at a restaurant in the 10th
arrondissement, and dozens more were killed at
the Bataclan concert hall. At least 100 were taken hostage inside
the music venue, where Southern California rock band Eagles of Death Metal were scheduled to perform.

President Obama addressed the tragedy in a televised
conference, saying, “This is an
attack not just on Paris. It’s an attack not just on the people of France. But
this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share.”
Stars
such as Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Harry Styles, Juliette Lewis, Sophia
Bush, plus political figures like Hillary Clinton and others, took to social
media following the news to express their condolences to those affected.
