Paris Hilton Claims Man Punched Boyfriend Cy Waits ‘In The Back Of The Head’ Outside Courthouse

Paris Hilton’s boyfriend, Cy Waits, was allegedly attacked outside of the Van Nuys courthouse in LA on Wednesday, the reality TV star Tweeted.

Paris and Cy were in court on Wednesday, where she was set to face Nathan Lee Parada – the man charged with attempted burglary after allegedly trying to break in to the reality star’s house while carrying two large knives in August 2010.

Outside the courthouse, Paris claims a man assaulted her boyfriend.

“Paris’ boyfriend Cy Waits was attacked while entering the courthouse with Paris earlier this afternoon. The attacker assaulted Cy from behind,” a rep for Paris said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “After the attack, they realized he is the same intruder that showed up to her home on a bicycle a few months ago. He has now been taken into custody. They’re both a bit shaken up but thankful security acted quickly.”

Paris also Tweeted about the news shortly after the alleged incident.

“Omg @KathyHilton! That other psycho intruder just punched Cy in the back of the head as we were walking into the court house. So scary!” she wrote on her Twitter page shortly after 1 PM PDT.

According to the Associated Press, an unidentified man appeared to grab Cy’s neck but was immediately seized by a bodyguard and taken away.

In October 2010, a second individual was arrested outside of Paris’ home after an alleged scuffle with her security guards.

James Rainford, 36, was arrested by LAPD for alleged battery, after security guards confronted him after he was allegedly banging the front door of Paris’ home, police confirmed to Access Hollywood at the time.

Rainford was eventually charged with civil assault. He was sentenced to 20 days of community service and three years probation.

There was no confirmation if Rainford was the man who allegedly attacked Cy on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Paris – whose new reality show, “The World According to Paris,” will debut on June 1 on Oxygen – Tweeted her fears about heading to court to face Parada.

“On my way to the court house to testify against the intruder. I’m very nervous to see him face to face again,” she wrote on Wednesday.

Following the alleged attack against Cy, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Access Hollywood that an individual had been detained and there was an ongoing investigation.

According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Paris was at the courthouse for an interview with the District Attorney’s office. After the interview, she and Cy left the building and someone threw something that hit Cy. At that point, Paris’ security team apprehended the person they believe threw the object and took him to the local police station to be booked.

When contacted by Access, the court clerk in the case against Parada was unaware of the alleged incident, but noted that jury selection in the case against Parada had been completed on Wednesday morning and testimony was scheduled to begin after the lunch break, which is when the alleged attack occurred.

The court clerk noted the incident could possibly delay the start of the trial.
