Paris Jackson Hospitalized Following Suicide Attempt (Source)

Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson, was hospitalized on Wednesday following a suicide attempt, a source claimed to Access Hollywood.

A source close to the Jackson family told Access that Paris cut her wrists, but it was believed to be a “cry for help” more than a desire to take her own life.

The source went on to claim to Access that Paris has suffered from depression, but noted this was her first suicide attempt.

The family source explained that Paris misses her late father dearly and she feels misunderstood by her famous family. The source went on to say that Paris – who has been spending time with her biological mother, Debbie Rowe – feels “lonely and doesn’t feel loved,” compared to the love she received from her late father. The source told Access that she has repeatedly expressed the desire to live with her mother.

“She wants to do what she wants to do, and doesn’t want to be told,” the source said of Paris.

Despite reports that the incident happened because Paris was not able to attend a Marilyn Manson concert, the source claims the suicide attempt was not due to the concert, but it “could have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

The Jackson source noted that her brothers, Prince and Blanket, appear to be very happy.

Katherine Jackson’s attorney, Kevin Boyle, also released a statement on Wednesday about Paris.

“Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family’s privacy,” his statement read.

Additionally, the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed to Access that paramedics were called to the residence at 1:47 AM on Wednesday. One patient was transported from the scene to the hospital.

Prior to the incident Paris sent out a series of Tweets, with one quoiting the Beatles’ iconic song, “Yesterday.”

“i wonder why tears are salty ?” she wrote, followed by another Tweet an hour later with the Beatles reference.

“yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay”
