Paris On Nicole: ‘She’s Going To Be The Best Mom Ever!’

A week after Nicole Richie officially confirmed her pregnancy to ABC’s Diane Sawyer, the celebutante’s best buddy — Paris Hilton is speaking out about her friend’s impending motherhood.

“She’s really happy,” Hilton told People magazine at an event last night. “I just got off the phone with her. She’s so excited.”

Richie ended months of speculation with her pregnancy announcement last week. The father is Good Charlotte front man, Nicole’s boyfriend Joel Madden.

“They’re really in love,” Paris said of her friend’s romance with the rock star.

Though Richie’s impending motherhood may keep her from partying with the blonde hotel heiress in the future, Paris had nothing but happy words for her former “Simple Life” co-star.

“I know she’s going to be the best mom ever,” Paris enthused.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Richie is expected to serve out her four-day sentence at the same jail Paris spent her time – the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.

It is currently unknown when Richie will enter the facility, but it will be before September 28, according to a court order.
