Patrick Swayze To Pen Personal Memoir With Wife

Patrick Swayze is planning to put his life story on paper.

Swayze is planning to write a personal memoir with his wife of 33 years, Lisa Niemi, a source close to the actor told People.

However, the work from the cancer-stricken star will not be an inspirational book, but rather a memoir that focuses on life’s journey, the source added.

Swayze, 56, revealed he was fighting pancreatic cancer in March 2008.

Earlier this month, the star of A&E’s “The Beast” was hospitalized for about a week with a bout of pneumonia.

In a recent interview with Barbara Walters, Swayze talked about his fight for his life.

“I don’t know what’s on the other side. It tests everything I believe in… that here is something unique in all of us that does… not die. I like to believe that I’ve got a lot of guardian warriors sittin’ on my shoulder, including my dad, sayin’, ‘You just let Swayze Dog know, it’s been his turn all this time. You just let us do the work and we’ll finish it for him.’ And so, I’m trying to shut up and… let my angels speak to me and, and tell me what I’m supposed to do,” he said.

No word yet on a possible release date for the memoir.
