A stunningly sexy Paula Patton arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie on Wednesday with husband Robin Thicke on her arm, and the actress said she feels blessed to be so happily married after 20 years together.
“I got very lucky,” Paula, who was rocking a sheer black Rhea Costa dress, told Access Hollywood’s Scott “Movie” Mantz at the “Baggage Claim” premiere, when asked about her real life love. “It’s a dream come true and we’ve just grown together.”
Adding, “I just love him so much!”
Four weeks after Paula’s husband’s headline making performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards, Miley is still a hot topic at the water cooler. The young singer recently told Rolling Stone she feels there’s a “double standard” in the industry and society, as she was criticized for what some deemed inappropriate dancing, while Robin, a married, older man, seemed to escape relatively unscathed.
So, does Paula agree with Miley’s “double standard” statement?
“I don’t know. I mean, honestly, I think she got too much heat altogether,” Paula said of the “We Can’t Stop” singer. “I think the performance was fun and great and I loved it.”
Paula said she was completely unfazed by the show and was surprised by the reaction of the public.
“Honestly, I was so shocked the next day by all of the flak, to be honest with you,” Paula said, adding, “She’s entertaining people – the song is about molly!”
“Baggage Claim” – which also stars Derek Luke, Taye Diggs and Boris Kodjoe – hits theaters on Friday.
