Person Of Interest: Producers Preview Ladies Night With Paige Turco, Sarah Shahi & Taraji P. Henson

It’s ladies night on this week’s “Person of Interest,” when Zoe, Shaw and Officer Carter team up to investigate one man who has piqued the interest of the machine over his peculiar fondness for women.

The episode, airing Tuesday night at 10/9c on CBS, will see Paige Turco (Zoe), Sarah Shahi (Shaw) and Taraji P. Henson (Carter) donning some sexy attire as they hit the club in pursuit of their target. On Monday morning, executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman addressed how long they’ve been waiting to get the women of the show together.

“For like 10 episodes now, from the beginning,” Nolan laughed.

“The fun thing about introducing new characters [is] you have new relationships,” he continued. “The world of the show has kind of expanded from Season 1 — you get a chance to see those three ladies together, which is just great fun, ‘cause they each have such a unique spin on what they do, putting them all in the same situation. We were just thrilled with it.”

And fans can even look forward to one of the ladies sharing a smooch with someone in the episode, which was penned by co-executive producer Amanda Segel.

“She even snuck a kiss in there,” Plageman noted.

Asked what the actresses thought of the episode, Plageman said it was a hit.

“I think they were delighted,” he said. “It’s a bit of a departure in tone, at least that story for us, which is a lot of fun and any time we bring Paige back she seems to bring a different sort of chemistry and [when] Sarah lets her hair down, it’s all a little bit more fun too, so I think everyone kind of looked at it as a little bit of a fun party.”

But for fans wondering what will happen with Amy Acker’s Root, she has a heavy storyline also, one apart from the group.

“Never underestimate a strong woman who has access to a networked artificial intelligence,” Nolan said.

“Person of Interest” airs Tuesday at 10/9c on CBS.
