Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander are one step closer to saying, “I do!”
“The Twilight Saga” star asked for the “Thor” actress’ hand in marriage on Monday atop the Empire State Building in New York City, his rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.
The couple previously worked together on the show “Nurse Jackie.” They have not announced a wedding date yet.

Soon after Peter and Jaimie went public with their romance, his ex-wife, Jennie Garth, opened up about her feelings on seeing her former husband find love again.
“I think there will come a time when it won’t sting so bad. But I’m not quite there yet,” she told People in December 2012, adding, “I am happy that he is happy, though.”

Peter filed for divorce from Jennie in March 2012 after 11 years of marriage. They have three daughters together – Luca, Lola and Fiona.
