Petside.com’s Top Ten Pet Movies Of All Time

Ever have those days when you feel like staying home and watching “Lassie” over and over again?!

Does your pug get nostalgic whenever “Milo & Otis” comes on?

Now Petside.com has compiled a list of the Top Ten funniest, saddest and all-around best pet movies ever made. They watched dozens of films to bring you this list of the very best.

Here are Numbers 10 through 6:

#10 Oliver and Company
In this retelling of the Dickens classic Oliver Twist, an orphaned kitten named Oliver struggles to survive in New York City. But Oliver’s luck soon changes when he meets mutt Dodger and then a young girl named Jenny.

Why we love it: Great original songs and Billy Joel provides the speaking (and singing) voice for Dodger.

#9 My Dog Skip
Based on a true story. A lonely 9-year-old’s mother buys him a dog to the chagrin of his stubborn father. The terrier soon changes the boy’s life in many ways and they develop a special bond.

Why we love it: One of the dogs that plays Skip is the famous Jack Russell terrier Moose, who also played Eddie on the NBC sitcom Frasier.

#8 The Aristocats
When a rich jazz-era socialite leaves her fortune to her cat Duchess, the evil butler plots to steal the money and kidnaps Duchess and her kittens. Fortunately for them, some jazz playing alley cats step in and help save the day!

Why we love it: A whole band of jazzy alley cats and Eva Gabor voices Duchess.

#7 The Old Lassie Movies
Young Elizabeth Taylor stars in these classic films about the courageous collie including Lassie Come Home, The Courage of Lassie, and Son of Lassie.

Why we love it: Lassie saves the day as only she can do.

#6 Best in Show
This “mock-umentary” gives a humorous behind-the-scenes look at the world of competitive dog shows.

Why we love it: The “Busy Bee” and Parker Posey.
