Phillip Phillips Out Of Hospital, Ready For American Idol Tour

“American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips is on the road to recovery and looking forward to hitting the road!

The 21-year-old “Idol” champ is on the mend following surgery to remove large kidney stones.

“I’m out of the hospital and back to work!” he told E! News. “Looking forward to the future.”

The singer, who was released from the hospital on Monday afternoon, is expected to play all 45 shows of the upcoming “American Idol” tour, which kicks off on July 6 in Detroit.

According to TMZ, the Georgia native is resting at a mansion in Malibu, Calif., which is owned by an “Idol” executive.

Over the weekend, Phillip Tweeted, “Just want to tell everyone thank you for the concerns and prayers, it means a lot to my family and I. I’m just resting and healing.”
