The athlete also hit a fire hydrant in the 2:25 AM crash early Friday morning and was described as being “in and out of consciousness” by police chief Daniel Saylor in a news conference on Friday night.

Authorities previously confirmed to Access Hollywood that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

According to the Associated Press, Tiger did not speak to state troopers on Saturday, turning them away for the second day in a row. A spokesperson told the AP that the golfer did not have a legal obligation to speak with them because of the incident’s status as a traffic accident.

Days prior to the accident, the National Enquirer alleged that Tiger was having an affair with New York socialite Rachel Uchitel, who denied the rumors to People and Us Weekly.

“This is not a story I have anything to do with,” she told People.

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, she explained she had met the star on multiple occasions.

“I met him twice and have not heard from him since,” she said, before denying a romantic link. “I did not have an affair with Tiger Woods… I don’t understand why anyone would think this has anything to do with me.”
