Pitbull is the latest music superstar to join Fox’s “Empire.”
The performer will guest star as himself on Season 2 of the Fox series. He’ll also perform “No Doubt About It” with Jussie Smollett’s character, Jamal Lyon.
Pitbull is the latest superstar name to join the cast. Mariah Carey, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Adam Rodriguez are all set to appear in Season 2.

In related news, Lee Daniels is expanding his own empire on Fox. It was revealed at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour that Fox had ordered “Star,” a new music-related drama from the executive producer.
“Star” will follow the story of three young women hoping to make it big in the music business. Fox bosses were asked at TCAs if there was potential for crossover. The execs said the shows are both set in the music world, but different cities, so we’ll see.
