Police: No Alcohol Or Drugs Involved In David Arquette Car Crash

David Arquette’s Friday auto accident was not a result of drugs or alcohol, authorities have determined.

“No alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash whatsoever,” Beverly Hills Police Dept. spokesman Lt. Tony Lee said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Monday. “It appears that the accident will be Mr. Arquette’s fault for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 39-year-old actor was involved in a head-on vehicle collision in Beverly Hills on Friday. The actor was “OK” following the accident, his rep said at the time.

“He’s OK and on his way to be treated,” his rep told Access on Friday.

David also Tweeted about the accident with a Charlie Sheen reference, writing, “I got into a car accident but i’m fine. Luckily I have tiger’s blood running through my veins.”

He also noted that the accident didn’t affect his sobriety.

“Refused all pain medication-may the record state- still sober!” he wrote in another Tweet.

A rep for Arquette was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access about the police’s findings that he appears to be at fault.
