“New Girl” is about to get crazy, thanks to the presence of a music legend.
Prince is headed to the Fox comedy as a guest star, according to E!.
The music superstar will play himself on the show, and will interfere with Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) relationship, E! reported.
According to the website, the “Purple Rain” singer has long been a fan of sitcom, which is currently in its third season.
Prince will make his appearance (his first on a TV comedy!) during the show’s post-Super Bowl episode.
Reps for “New Girl” were not immediately available for comment on Prince’s reported guest appearance when contacted by Access Hollywood on Friday.
