Prince William & Kate Middleton Meet President Obama & The First Lady

A meeting of Royal couples!

On Tuesday, Prince William and Kate met with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at Buckingham Palace just before a lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth.

According to People, the meeting lasted around 20 minutes and was held in Buckingham Palace’s 1844 room.

The meeting, where they discussed the couple’s upcoming trip to Calif. in July and their recent wedding, was described by a mag source as “relaxed.”

Kate reportedly sported a dress by Reiss, which costs $280.

The meet and greet with the Obamas marked the couple’s first duty since returning from their 10-day honeymoon in the Seychelles.

Wills and Kate were not originally scheduled to take part in the lunch, which included over 200 other Royals and dignitaries.

The Obamas will reportedly spend two nights at Buckingham Palace before continuing their tour of Europe.

According to NBC News, the Obamas are staying in the same six-room suite that Prince William and Kate spent their wedding night in.

“It may not be the same bed. It is the same suite,” a Palace aid told NBC News.

Their visit to England was moved up after fears that the recent volcano eruption in Iceland and subsequent ash cloud could affect their travel.
