A prosecutor is expected to recommend jail time for actress Lindsay Lohan after arguing that she is in violation of her probation in a theft case.
Los Angeles City Attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan said the recommendation to be made in court Wednesday is based on Lohan’s termination from a downtown women’s shelter where she had been doing community service.
Lohan spokesman Steve Honig declined comment Tuesday.
Lohan is due in court Wednesday to update a judge on her probation progress.
A city prosecutor is overseeing Lohan’s probation in the misdemeanor theft case filed after the actress was charged with taking a $2,500 necklace without permission. Lohan pleaded no contest in May.
The 25-year-old actress is now trying to complete the majority of her service with the American Red Cross.
