Puppygate: Was Paris Really Denied Pooch Purchase?

Tongues have been wagging over a reported story, which claimed Paris Hilton was denied purchasing a pooch at a Los Angeles pet store.

However, a rep for Paris had an entirely different dog tale.

According to a New York Post gossip item, while on her way to a photo shoot, Paris tried to buy a Yorkie at The Puppy Store in LA, where she was told they wouldn’t allow her to purchase the pooch as an “impulse buy.”

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Paris said the celebutante was visiting her rocker boyfriend, Benji Madden’s, clothing store DMCA Collective, which is near the pet shop, and that she only “walked by and looked in” The Puppy Store, without setting a single paw inside.

The rep also noted that Hilton already has a Yorkie and “doesn’t need more.”

After Hilton was reportedly denied the dog, she did not sit still and “started screaming, ‘I love my puppies! I want my baby!’” according to the Post. A store employee apparently wouldn’t roll over and sell her the canine.

Employees at The Puppy Store were seemingly muzzled, saying they couldn’t comment on the story, when contacted by Access.

During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres back in February, Paris said she already owns 17 dogs.
