Reese Witherspoon Gets ‘Wild’ In Big Screen Threesome

Reese Witherspoon divulged what she really thought about acting out a sex scene with two men in the film “Wild.”

“It was weird,” she told Access Hollywood at the Los Angeles film’s premiere on Wednesday. “I had to make a choice as an artist…I think it’s most important how brave the writer was when she wrote the book and I had to be just as brave as an actor to do the parts of the book that were uncomfortable to me. That was hard sometimes.”

The Oscar-winning actress elaborated, “Physically, I think it was one of the most demanding things I’d ever done, but also just emotionally, it’s tough subject matter, but it’s a very hopeful movie and a very happy movie in the end.”

Reese, 38, admitted to calling author Cheryl Strayed for advice before filming the challenging scene and Cheryl told Access she’s very satisfied with the outcome.

“I sent Reese the book, so I had her in mind, but I still was shocked when I got that phone call from her saying that she really wanted to play me,” she recalled. “I’ve always respected her as an actress. I think she’s extraordinary and so I’m honored. I think in this role we see a side of Reese that we haven’t quite seen before.”
