Rep: Amy Winehouse Was Not Adopting 10-Year-Old St. Lucia Girl

A rep for Amy Winehouse told Access Hollywood – that despite a report – the late singer was not planning to adopt a child from St Lucia.

“There is no truth to reports she was in the process of adopting a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia,” a rep for Winehouse told Access on Monday.

Britain’s The Mirror newspaper claimed that before the singer died she was in the process of adopting 10-year-old Dannika Augustine.

The singer spent a great deal of time on the Caribbean island over the last two years and reportedly grew close to the child.

Winehouse and Augustine were photographed together on multiple occasions during her stay on the island.
