Rep: Lady Gaga Collapses ‘Due To Exhaustion & Dehydration,’ Cancels Show

Lady Gaga was forced to cancel her performance in West Lafayette, Indiana on Thursday after the singer collapsed prior to taking the stage.

“Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Lady Gaga collapsed and passed out before her show tonight in West Lafayette, IN.” a rep for the singer told Access Hollywood. “Her physician has advised her to take a few days off to rest.”

According to West Lafayette’s WLFI-TV, the announcement was made just after opening acts Semi Precious Weapons and Jason DeRulo had performed to the sold-out crowd at Purdue University’s Elliott Hall of Music.

The singer Tweeted following the incident, writing, “I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing… Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular– a result of exhaustion and dehydration… can’t apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage.”

And Lady Gaga said she was planning to make up the cancelled show later this month.

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me,” she wrote in another Tweet. “I will make-up the performance on Jan 26.”

Lady Gaga appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Friday, where she talked about her fashion sense, performances and her rise to fame.
