Despite reports to the contrary, Mariska Hargitay is not taking a multiple episode break from “Law & Order: SVU,” the actress’ rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.
On Monday, a host of reports sprung up across the Internet claiming that the star, who plays Detective Olivia Benson on the long-running NBC series, was going to miss the rest of the season.
“Not true,” a rep for the actress, who suffered a collapsed lung earlier this year, told Access. “Mariska is recovering well and is returning to the show this season.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Mariska was hospitalized two weeks ago after suffering chest pains. She underwent “routine tests,” during the hospitalization, her rep previously told Access.
Mariska’s hospitalization only forced the actress to miss one episode of filming, the rep said last week, something the rep confirmed again on Monday.
“She is only missing one episode,” the rep said.
